Razzamataz Derby have a vacancy for a fantastic classroom assistant to start September 2025!
Razzamataz provides training in dance, drama and singing in both musical theatre and commercial styles. We develop a child's confidence whilst they learn new skills, make new friends and have fun in a safe and secure environment.
We are on the lookout for an inspiring, hard-working individual with a passion for performing arts to join our school, from September 2025, and support the teaching of dance, drama and singing to children aged 6 - 8.

This role involves supporting the teachers in the delivery of safe, effective, tailored and exciting classes for children ages 6 to 8 following guidelines monitored by the principal. The classroom assistant must be able to follow direction, be confident and have an interest in the theatre arts.
As a classroom assistant and ambassador for Razzamataz Theatre Schools, you must demonstrate a true belief and understanding of the Razzamataz offering and values and promote the high standards set by Razzamataz at all times.

The role
What's required?
? To support the teacher to provide the safe and effective delivery of classes in dance, singing and drama, following the curriculum set out by the principal.
? To adhere to all health and safety guidelines set out by the principal, during classes and at any external events/presentations or performances.
? To ensure the signing in and out of each child by an adult over the age of 18 at every session held
? To adhere to all child protection & safeguarding guidelines set out by the principal
? To be accountable for the students in each class.
? To work as a team along with the principal, teachers and assistants.
? To show loyalty to Razzamataz and present a professional image at all times.
? To attend termly staff meetings and training at the start of the academic year and 1:1 meetings at the end of term 1 and 3.
? To carry out effectively any further duties the principal deems appropriate to your role with the company.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
Have experience of working with children or passion to do so.
Be passionate about theatre arts
To have experience of performing arts
Be able to work independently as well as part of a team
Be reliable and demonstrate good timekeeping
Have good organisational skills
Be flexible to meet the needs of the business
Be energetic and enthusiastic
Desirable Criteria
Have performing arts training
Be prepared and able to cover for occasional absences of dance, singing and/or drama teachers
