We are seeking a talented and dedicated Drum Teacher to join the thriving Music Department at an Ofsted Outstanding school in Warrington. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our enthusiastic and passionate students, who are eager to develop their drumming and performance skills.
The successful candidate will:
Deliver high-quality drum tuition to students across a range of ages and abilities.
Be a
strong reader of drum notation
, able to support students in reading written parts with accuracy.
Play an active role in preparing and rehearsing drummers for
school concerts, showcases, and musical theatre productions
.
Provide support with
orchestral parts
for the school production, working alongside our wider music team.

The rate of pay is
36 per hour

There are currently
four hours' worth of students
lined up for lessons.
All applicants must hold a
full and recent enhanced DBS

Duties
Plan and deliver individual music lessons tailored to students' ages, interests, and skill levels
Develop customised lesson plans that incorporate a variety of musical styles, techniques, and repertoire
Assess students' progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to encourage improvement
Organise recitals, performances, or examinations to showcase students' talents
Maintain a positive and motivating classroom environment that nurtures creativity and confidence
Collaborate with parents or guardians regarding student progress and upcoming performances
Keep accurate records of attendance, progress, and lesson plans in accordance with organisational policies
Stay informed about current trends in music education and incorporate innovative teaching methods
Experience
Previous experience teaching music to children or adults is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates eager to develop their skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning needs
Excellent communication skills, capable of inspiring students and fostering a positive learning environment
A genuine passion for music education and the ability to motivate learners of all ages
Formal qualifications in music or music education are advantageous but not mandatory; relevant experience can compensate for formal qualifications
