Peripatetic EYFS Teaching Assistant

35 Hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus 5 days)

Scale F, SCP 15-20 (30,024 - 32,597 pro rata to hours worked)

Development?Opportunity

The Board of Trustees wish to provide?an opportunity for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to become part of our school team. The post holder will be initially based at Ash Croft Primary Academy.

The successful candidate will have:

NVQ 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualification or experience?or willingness to work towards Level 3 EYFS?qualification Literacy and Numeracy skills equivalent to Level 2 of the National Qualification & Credit Framework Completion of Department for Education Teacher Assistant Induction Programme (or?to complete within first term) Awareness of the requirements of children with special needs Experience of working with learning resources and helping with their preparation to support learning programmes Experience of?working with or caring for children of a relevant age to those in the school?(including 2-year-old provision) Communication skills to liaise sensitively and effectively with parents and carers Basic understanding of a child's development and learning.
