Please apply for this post if you have the following:
2 years' experience of working in a social care setting and have ideally SVQ 3/SCQF level 7 Social Services and/or HNC Social Services.
Driving Licence essential
Commitment to attain necessary qualifications (SVQ and HNC) and other mandatory training i.e., Child protection, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, First Aid, Fire Warden etc.
Are a highly motivated, team player who is able to work under pressure and remain calm in challenging situations.
Have a high standard of reporting and recording

Key Duties and Responsibilities as a Residential Child Care Worker:
Responsibility to promote the protection and wellbeing of children
Work in line with Imagine Care's visions and aims
Contribute to the assessment of children and young people's risks and needs through the development of care plans and risk management plans
Promote trauma informed practice, ensuring that the experiences and needs of young people are understood and appropriate supports are put in place
To ensure the therapeutic care of young people and be a positive role model
Work effectively as part of a team, attending meetings and engaging in development opportunities.
Promote, monitor and maintain health and safety in the working environment in accordance with policy and procedure
Reflect on and develop your practice by engaging in supervision, team meetings, training and any other learning opportunity as required by Imagine Care and SSSC
Support children and young people to manage their lives and achieve their full potential
Work with children and young people to prepare them for adulthood
To actively participate in social, recreational and educational activities with the young people.
Support children and young people to develop and maintain supportive relationships
Work with children and young people to promote their physical and mental health needs
Contribute to safeguarding children and young people from danger, harm and abuse
Contribute to the prevention and management of challenging behaviour in children and young people
Adhere to policies and procedures
Undertake administrative tasks and provide written reports as required
To understand both the GIRFEC Framework and SHANARRI Indicators and embed these into practice.
Ensure children and young people have a safe and clean environment to live, by ensuring all daily cleaning duties are completed
Meal preparation, promoting a healthy and nutritious diet.
Awareness and responsibility for the health and safety of children, young people, colleagues and yourself
Support Children and young people to attend education, engaging with educational staff as require
Take ownership of the organisation's ethos 'Believe in a Better Tomorrow'
