Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, supporting the medical staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. As a Practice Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering nursing services to patients while promoting health education and disease prevention.

Duties

Conduct patient assessments and record medical histories accurately. perform treatment room duties including smears, immunisations, and chronic disease management Provide wound care and assist with minor surgical procedures. Educate patients on health management, disease prevention, and lifestyle choices. Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to develop patient care plans. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with regulations. Assist in the management of chronic conditions by monitoring patient progress and adjusting care plans as necessary. Participate in health promotion activities within the community.

Requirements

Registered Nurse qualification with a valid nursing licence. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to provide effective patient care. Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not essential. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and colleagues. Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping. A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on best practices in nursing care.
