Salary: \xc2\xa322,000 - \xc2\xa325,000 (DOE)

We are proudly working with a Hull based engineering company to recruit a Permit/ Project Coordinator to support the Project Manager as the company continues to grow. You will be joining a forward-thinking, fun, and sociable small team and a company that really values their staff.

To be successful for the Permit Coordinator role you will have a background in telecommunications and/or civil engineering. The ideal candidate will have experience in understanding permits, Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs), and Section 74 notices, as well as a strong understanding of the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA) and traffic management. Additionally, the successful candidate must possess excellent administration skills and a proven track record in project coordination.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage all permit applications and ensure compliance with local authority regulations, NRSWA, and traffic management requirements.
  • Liaise with various stakeholders, including local authorities, utility companies, contractors, and internal teams to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
  • Understand and interpret permits, FPNs, and S74s to ensure adherence to regulations and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Monitor and update permit tracking systems to maintain accurate records of permit status and ensure timely renewal or closure.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure effective coordination of works, minimising disruption to the public and optimising project timelines.
  • Prepare and submit required documentation for permits, including drawings, method statements, and traffic management plans.
  • Proactively identify potential issues or risks related to permits and work with the team to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Stay updated with changes in regulations, permits, and traffic management requirements, and communicate relevant information to the team.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge in civil engineering, telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the telecommunications or civil engineering industry.
  • Solid understanding of permits, FPNs, and S74s, with the ability to interpret and apply regulations effectively.
  • Proficiency in NRSWA guidelines and traffic management requirements.
  • Strong administration skills with excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Demonstrated project coordination experience, including the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
