Job Description

This post deals with providing appropriate support for our son, a young man with autism (age 32). The remit includes daily living skills, leisure / social activities, emotional support, money, relationships, health and personal care. Due to the nature of enrichment that suits our son, a physically able / car owner-driver is needed for this post. Activities include gardening, walking, art, photography, swimming, baking, cinema, etc.

Hours and training

Training will be given for the post.

Hours are divided across Monday, Wednesday and Friday. 9am-3pm.
Additional hours are available during longer activities.

Education and experience

Education 3 standard grades or SCQF level 4 essential.

Experience in care work essential.

Education SVQ2 care or above desirable.

Experience in autism/ learning disability desirable.

Skills and qualities

Full clean UK driving licence essential.

Fit and active essential.

Good communication /organisation essential.

PVG scheme membership desirable.

Pay: 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 per week
