Weekday Personal Assistant / Carer (Self-Employed or Willing to Register) - 12.21/hr + 90 Overnight

About Me:

My name is Rhys Bowler. I'm a 37-year-old disabled adult living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), a muscle-wasting condition. I use a powered wheelchair and a ventilator, and I live independently with support from a team of self-employed personal assistants.

I'm looking for a reliable, strong, and flexible person to join my

weekday care team

. You'll be part of an honest, supportive setup that values independence, routine, and a decent laugh. I enjoy going out in the evenings -- cinema, gigs, or just the pub -- and need someone who's happy to support me both at home and socially.

What I Need:

You must hold a full UK driving licence

-- you'll be driving my van

You must be able to lift up to 8 stone

to assist with transfers No hoisting involved -- physical strength is essential Comfortable assisting with personal care, blended meals, and general support Willing to work

split shifts

or longer days if agreed in advance Respectful of privacy and capable of working independently

Typical Shift Examples:

9:00am - 2:00pm 4:00pm - 11:00pm 9:00am - 2:00pm, return 4:00pm - 11:00pm 9:00am - 11:00pm (full day)

Overnight

: 11:00pm - 9:00am (

must stay until the next carer arrives

) Social evenings out usually begin at 7:00pm and may run late
Day always begins at 9:00am. Final weekly rota will be agreed together -- shifts can range from

5 hours to 12+ hours

depending on your availability and my care needs.

Self-Employment Terms:

12.21 per hour (daytime) 90 per overnight shift (11:00pm to 9:00am) Prefer self-employed -
