Brief Description
Join us in the rail industry as a Personal Assistant to the Wales and Western Regional Managing Director. This critical role requires someone who is passionate, communicative, proactive, calm under pressure, adaptable, and reliable.
In this position, you will be responsible for supporting the daily activities of our Regional Managing Director, ensuring smooth and efficient operations across the board. You will need to be adept at diary management, efficiently coordinating schedules to avoid conflicts and maintain seamless operations. Inbox management will also be crucial, handling and prioritizing emails to keep communication streamlined and ensuring that nothing important is missed.
Your role will involve planning and organizing meetings and events, ensuring every detail is covered, from venue arrangements to catering and attendee coordination. You will also be responsible for arranging travel plans and itineraries, making sure that journeys are seamless and well-coordinated.
General administrative tasks will be part of your daily routine, including raising purchase orders and providing overall support to the team. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work very closely with the regional managing director to support their daily activities and ensure smooth operations.
This position offers the opportunity to travel across our region, from Wales to Penzance, as needed, providing you with a dynamic and varied work environment. While this is a standalone role, you will also collaborate with the wider PA team within the region, ensuring that you are well-supported and integrated into our organizational structure.
To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate adaptability and flexibility when dealing with schedule changes or unexpected events. Providing examples of how you have taken the initiative to step in and alleviate an executive's workload will be highly beneficial in showcasing your capability and experience.

As well as meeting the people profile requirements we would need you to be experienced in the following administrative duties.

  • Diary Management: Efficiently manage and coordinate schedules to keep things running smoothly.-
  • Management: Handle and prioritize emails to keep communication clear and organized.
  • Organising Meetings and Event Support: Plan and organize meetings and events, making sure everything goes off without a hitch.
  • Co-ordinating Travel Management: Arrange travel plans and itineraries for hassle-free journeys.
  • General Administration: Take care of various administrative tasks, including raising purchase orders, to support the team.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with our regional managing director to support their daily activities and ensure everything runs smoothly.

Salary: Is dependent on experience but we have a ceiling rate of xc2xa350,000 per annum

This role is based in London Enterprise House- Situated near Paddington Station- Travel will be expected as part of the role and hybrid/remote working is not likely.
