Flexible part-time and full-time positions (daytime/evening only, no night work)
Job Type:
Permanent
About the Role
We're looking for 3-4 dedicated Personal Assistants (PAs) to join a small, friendly team supporting one individual living with complex physical health needs in a calm, well-equipped home environment in Harpole.
The person being supported has full mental capacity, a bright personality, and values professionalism, reliability, and kindness. They are looking to build a long-term, trusting relationship with a small team of PAs who take pride in providing consistent, respectful support.
Some shifts will involve working alongside another PA (double-up shifts), while others will be one-to-one, so good teamwork and communication are essential.
This isn't just another care role; it's an opportunity to make a real difference in one person's quality of life -- helping them maintain comfort, dignity, and independence in their own home.
Key Responsibilities
Providing respectful, high-quality personal care (washing, dressing, etc.)
Using a hoist safely to support transfers between bed and wheelchair
Supporting with light household tasks and daily routines
Accompanying to occasional appointments or errands
Working both independently and as part of a two-person team (double-up shifts)
Following clear guidance and training to meet complex care needs safely
Communicating clearly and working collaboratively within a small, supportive team
Maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and a positive, can-do attitude
About You
You'll be conscientious, reliable, and eager to make a difference. Some prior experience in personal or complex care (for example, physical disability, neurological, or cardiac conditions) is essential, though training and ongoing guidance will be provided to help you learn the specific needs of the individual.
You should:
Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a car
Be kind, patient, and adaptable
Communicate well and work effectively within a small team
Be comfortable working in a one-to-one home environment
Respect privacy and professional boundaries
Hours and Pay
Total of 84 hours per week, shared among the PA team
Flexible daytime/evening shifts, suitable for both part-time and full-time staff
12.77 per hour, with itemised payslips and paid annual leave (5.6 weeks pro rata)
No night shifts
A supportive, professional environment where you'll be valued and respected
