Personal Care Assistant Required - Female Only (Due to Personal Care Requirements)

Location: Mid Cornwall

Candidates must have full UK Driving Licence and be over 25 years old (to be able to drive my accessible car with hoist in the back).

I am a 24-year-old full-time wheelchair user who lives with my family (and friendly dog!). I'm passionate about horses, Disney, musicals, and getting out and about -- and going on adventures.

This role is ideal for someone who values independence, compassion, and teamwork -- and who is ready to make every day a positive experience.

Key Responsibilities

Personal Support

Assist with morning and evening routines, including showering, dressing, and personal grooming (all directed by me). Support with hair styling and makeup as guided. Encourage independence and respect privacy at all times. Daily Living & Organisation Help with cooking and meal preparation. Assist with keeping personal spaces clean and organised. Support with budgeting, planning, and managing daily activities.
Social & Community Involvement

Accompany me on day trips, social outings, and community activities (zoos, shopping, cafes, theme parks, etc.). Help plan accessible, enjoyable experiences together. Provide support with photography and light social media content creation.
Mobility Support

Drive my specialist mobility vehicle (must be 25+ for insurance purposes).
About You:
I'm looking for someone who is:

Female (due to personal care needs). Aged 25+ Can speak fluent English A confident driver with a valid UK licence. Friendly, patient, and positive with excellent communication skills. Respectful of privacy, autonomy, and boundaries. Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently. Professional, compassionate, and fun to be around!
Previous care experience is helpful but not essential -- the right attitude and willingness to learn are what matter most.

Hours and Details
Approximately 15 hours of work per week, with the potential for increased hours for the right candidate

Pay: 14.80 per hour

Expected hours: 14 - 21 per week
