Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to an individual in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our client, whether in a care home setting or through home care services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.

Duties

Assist client with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times Prepare and assist with meals, ensuring dietary needs are met Manage Laundry and other domestic assistance in their own home Maintain accurate care plans and documentation of client progress Provide companionship and emotional support to clients Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

Skills

Proficient in English, both written and verbal, to communicate effectively with clients and team members Strong IT skills for maintaining records and using care management software Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and their families Experience in a care home or home care environment is advantageous Ability to understand and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs Driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From 13.00 per hour

Can you commute to Caversham three times a week. The role will require working 17 hours a week split across three days. Two days can be flexible but set the third day will be Friday afternoons until 6pm. Are you able to commit to this?
