Hours are fluid/flexible, however as a guide they will be worked Monday to Friday approximately 5 hours a day, with the occasional weekend when needed.

12.21 per hour for employed PA under PAYE
14.19 per hour for self-employed PA's (evidence of self-employment status and liability insurance will be required)

About the employer
The employer is an independent, disabled lady living in her own home with her husband, seeking support with daily living and social tasks. The lady has some mobility issues and uses walking aids around the house and a wheelchair when out of the house.
A personal assistant is sought to support her continued independent life assisting with daily household duties and routine.
Main Duties
Manage and coordinate daily routines and schedules - medication timings, meal-times, personal care, home care and social activities.
General housekeeping duties - including light overall cleaning, dusting, hoovering, washing up after meal prep, etc.
Laundry - including hanging out, ironing, putting away and changing the bedsheets when required.
Regular grocery shopping.
Preparing light meals and snacks and encouraging healthy nutrition.
Assist with feeding - supporting with meals where required and encouraging regular hydration.
Medication organisation - decanting monthly medication supplies and prompt to take medication to ensure they have been taken on time.
Assistance with personal hygiene to help shower or wash, dressing, grooming - therefore there is a requirement for a female candidate.
Support with daily physio exercises.
Mobility assistance - supporting safe movement, whether at home or outside (walking, wheelchair use, or transfers).
Medical appointments - supporting with the attendance of medical appointments. Mileage will be paid (excluding commute).
Social time - supporting with transportation when out for shopping, coffee, social groups, etc. Mileage will be paid (excluding commute).
Admin - support with paperwork, reading letters and emails, booking appointments and diary management, etc.
Record keeping - maintaining accurate notes on care provided, medication taken, and any changes in health or wellbeing, etc.
Companionship - providing emotional support, engaging in conversation, and encouraging social activities.
Any other task which the employer may reasonably ask you to do which falls within the scope of the job as a Personal Assistant.
A valid driving licence and own vehicle is required. Business cover on your motor insurance policy is therefore essential.

The successful applicant will be friendly, sociable, have a good sense of humour and be trustworthy.
You should have the ability to give empathetic support, while respecting the employer's independence but also able to take instruction.
The applicant must be flexible, with the ability to adapt to changing needs, routines and priorities.
An extremely organised individual who can manage and coordinate daily schedules, maintain accurate records and ensure routines are followed. Strong diary management and planning skills are essential.
A can-do attitude and aptitude to assist the employer.
Preference may be given to applicants who have been fully vaccinated against Flu and Covid-19.
