The Disability Resource Centre is supporting recruitment for an Employer who is seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Assistant / Carer to provide support to a joyful and spirited 23-year-old male with complex disabilities. Key Responsibilities:

Administer medication

Assist with personal care and dressing

Support therapeutic activities

Engage in fun outings such as trips to the park, cinema, seaside, water based activities, and horse riding for the young man.

Facilitate sensory play and exciting days out

Support with swimming at hydrotherapy pools

Available Shifts:

Tuesday - Friday: 7am-9.15am

Monday - Friday - 4pm-8pm ( Thursdays till 8.15 pm)

Flexible weekend hours between 8am-8pm, Saturdays preferred.

Requirements:

Fluent English for reading care plans and carrying out therapy plans

Must have a full UK driving license and access to own car

Punctual, reliable, and empathetic nature

Ability to take initiative and motivate in a supportive way

Comfortable around horses and in the water (swimming not required)

Non-smoker preferred

Must be fit for an active role.

Be energetic, efficient, calm and fun.

No prior experience in a care setting is necessary, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are key.
