Role Overview:
As a Night Shift Care Assistant, you will provide essential overnight support to clients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and wellbeing through the night. Your role will include assisting with personal care, administration of medicine, monitoring health, and offering reassurance during these quiet hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting clients with personal care needs such as toileting, repositioning, and hygiene during the night
Monitoring clients' health and wellbeing, reporting any concerns promptly
Supporting clients with mobility and transfers as needed
Providing companionship and reassurance to help clients rest peacefully
Maintaining a safe and comfortable environment throughout the night
Assisting with medication prompts or administration as required
What We're Looking For:
Compassionate and patient with a calm, reassuring presence
Ability to work independently during overnight hours
Good communication and observation skills
Previous experience in care preferred but not essential - training provided
Reliable and punctual, with flexibility to work nights, including weekends and holidays
Basic literacy and numeracy skills
