Role

SCOTLAND BASED APPLICANTS ONLY

We are looking for compassionate and caring individuals for the role as support worker to a 26 year old male adult with learning disabilities. The post holder would work alongside another experienced support worker providing 2:1 care. The role consists of assisting the adult to carry out tasks of daily living such as personal care, assisting with meal teams, days out, medication and general support.

About the adult requiring support

Said adult has a diagnosis of autism and a learning disability and some perceived challenging behaviour. They are very social and enjoy going out in the car to places such as the beach and local lochs/parks and they enjoy interacting with staff.

Ideal Candidate

Previous experience in the care industry and working with people with learning disabilties is

essential

. Candidate must have good communication skills. On the job training will be provided and you will work as part of a close team with plenty of support. We are looking for friendly, resilient people with bright personalities to match well with the adult requiring support.

A valid driving license is preferred

Hours/Salary

2 PART TIME POSTS

available

Salary is currently 14 p/h. Overtime also available. Paid breaks, enhanced overnight hourly rate. 8 hour shifts or shorter, so please get in touch to discuss this as we might be able to accommodate.

PVG

The employee will pay for PVG costs in regards to PVG background check from Disclosure Scotland from first salary (59.00 full, 18.00 update).
