Duties
Assist service user with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and dignity observe for any changes or concerns and report appropriately
Support medication administration in accordance with care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with meal consumption to promote health and energy
Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning tasks, laundry assistance, and organization of personal spaces
Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident's (personal assistive devices) to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges
Follow individualized care plans designed by healthcare professionals to deliver consistent, high-quality support
Skills
Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care environments
Knowledge of MS would be an advantage
Strong observation skills for monitoring health status and recognizing signs of distress or deterioration
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when transferring service user using appropriate techniques and equipment
