We are currently recruiting
experienced Complex Care Support Workers
to join the
core teams of two children (a girl and a boy)
living at home in
Barnsley
. These roles offer consistent hours, stability, and the opportunity to provide meaningful, long-term care within a family setting.
Available Positions
x2 - 36-Hour Waking Nights Contracts
(7am-7pm or 8am-8pm)
Opportunity for increased hours in the future
Training start date: 05 January 2026
About the Role
You will be supporting children with
complex health needs
within their own homes, delivering safe, compassionate and clinically competent care. The role requires vigilance, professionalism and a calm, reassuring approach.
Support may include managing complex medical needs alongside providing emotional reassurance and supporting daily routines.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Complex Care Support Worker with MAM Care Services, duties may include:
Delivering high-quality, person-centred care in the child's home
Supporting children with complex medical and physical needs
Undertaking clinical tasks such as:
Airway management and suctioning
PEG / enteral feeding
Medication administration
Seizure monitoring and management
Supporting daily routines including personal care, mobility and engagement
Maintaining accurate care records in line with CQC and company standards
Communicating effectively with families, healthcare professionals and the management team
Responding appropriately to emergencies following clinical protocols
Upholding safeguarding, confidentiality and professional boundaries
Attending training, supervision and competency assessments as required
What We Are Looking For
We are seeking
reliable, experienced and compassionate healthcare professionals
who are confident working independently in family homes.
Essential Requirements
Minimum
12 months recent experience
providing complex care to children
(community or hospital settings)
Experience working with children with complex needs
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
Right to work in the UK
Desirable Skills
Training or experience in one or more of the following:
Suctioning
Epilepsy and seizure management
PEG / enteral feeding
Medication administration
Full clinical training will be provided to ensure you feel confident and supported in your role.
Pay Rates
Day shift rate
: 15.00 per hour
Night shift rate
: 18.50 per hour
Weekend rate:
21.00 per hour
Bank Holiday rate:
23.40 per hour
