About the employer:

I'm a 33-year-old female living in the B98 area of Redditch. I'm seeking a Personal Assistant to assist me with my daytime routine on an as-needed basis. Please consider travel and childcare if you have young children.

I have Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy and require support with transfers using a ceiling hoist.

Main duties:

Personal care

: Assisting with all personal care, transfers using a ceiling hoist, and assisting with medication.

These duties may vary from day to day.

Specific requirements

: Previous care experience is helpful, but not mandatory.

An Enhanced DBS check will be required. PPE will be supplied for wear, and applicants will be expected to pitch in as needed. Due to the nature of this role, which involves personal care, the potential employer will only consider female applicants.

Regular work hours:

6.5 hours per week + any covering periods

Lunchtimes: Starting at the end of Dec

Mondays - 1.30 - 2pm

Thursdays - 1.30 - 2pm

Saturdays/every other - 1.30 - 2pm

Sundays 1.30 - 2pm

Teatimes:

Monday - 6.00pm - 7.00pm

Wednesdays - 6.00 - 7.00pm

Thursdays - 6.00 - 7.00pm

Bedtime:

Tuesdays - 9.00pm - 9.45pm

Thursdays - 9.00pm - 9.45pm

I also need someone who can step in and cover the morning shifts if required.

Monday - Sunday - 9.00 am - 10.00/10.30am

Rate of pay:

12.50 per hour Monday-Friday 13.10per hour Saturday 17.20per hour Sundays

Requirements:

Based in Redditch or local to the area

Willing to step in if someone is off sick or on holiday

Previous care experience - but not necessary

Full clean UK Driving Licence

Experienced in using a hoist or a Molift - but not necessary

Able to provide at least two references, if possible

Enhanced DBS Check is required (Cost covered by local authority)

Must be good with dogs

Must be willing/able to work during Christmas and bank holidays

Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.

This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid five weekly for a 4-week period.

Pay: 12.50-17.20 per hour
