Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in various settings, including home care, nursing homes, and hospice care. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, promoting their independence, and ensuring their well-being. The Support Worker will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those in their care.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support individuals with mobility and heavy lifting as required. Engage in behaviour management strategies to promote positive interactions and outcomes. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a caring environment. Help with meal preparation and medication reminders as needed. Drive clients to appointments or social activities when necessary. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in behaviour or health status. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.

Skills

Experience in senior care or home care settings is preferred. Knowledge of hospice care practices is advantageous. Strong behaviour management skills to handle challenging situations effectively. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with physical mobility tasks. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with clients and their families. A valid driving licence is essential for transporting clients as needed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 14.00-18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
