We are currently looking to appoint an experienced RTA fee earner/litigator to join our strong Personal Injury Department. Our firm is a high street practice with opportunities to progress as well as having a great work/life balance and friendly working environment. This department deals with a mix of Personal Injury matters. You will be responsible for your own caseload of litigated RTA claims in addition to providing support on complex matters to the claims handlers and paralegals within the department. Cases will be predominately RTA claims . Individuals with experience on the Claimant side are preferred but candidates with Defendant experience are also encouraged to apply.
The Candidate:
At least 2+ years experience
You should have excellent client care skills and a commercial approach to your work

The firm is seeking an RTA fee earner/litigator who can demonstrate:
Working knowledge of RTA claims, MOJ stages 1, 2 & 3 and experience with OIC portal would be preferrable.
Liaising with client, third parties and solicitors, keeping clients up to date with the progression of their cases, reviewing medical reports, engineers reports, police reports and dealing with correspondence.
Be able to identify cases which would benefit from litigation.
Good communication skills including client awareness and client care.
Ability to manage risk and excellent fact finding skills.
To progress your caseload in a manner to ensure that clients receive appropriate, professional, timely and pertinent legal advice, with regular contact, whilst managing their expectations
Take a practical but commercial approach to settlements and advising clients as to litigation/cost risks.
To achieve and exceed various targets set in relation to, for example, profit costs, settlements and issuing, without compromising the firm's integrity.
To liaise appropriately and timely with sources, medical agencies, experts, third party insurers and other relevant parties to ensure that cases are pro-actively progressed.
Perform to a high level in a target-orientated environment.
To undertake any other tasks as deemed relevant and reasonable by the business.
