About the role



Due to continued growth and expansion, Nowell & Richards are seeking to appoint an entry level Personal Lines Account Handler. You will be responsible for generating revenue and developing the profitability of the business whilst ensuring full FCA compliance. Our Account Handlers ensure that a quality service is provided to all clients in accordance with their needs and requirements. This is a role where full training will be provided, professional studies will be supported, and you will have a tailored pathway to learn all about insurance broking in the personal lines space (home, motor, travel etc) and then have the opportunity to progress into other lines such as High Net Worth / Private Clients.

Key duties will include



Ensuring accuracy, efficiency and professionalism when dealing with both clients and insurers in all aspects of the role Managing existing Personal Lines insurance policies Completing premium financing arrangements Advising clients on existing products in accordance with their needs Ensure all business activity fully complies with FCA regulation and company procedures as detailed in the Conduct Polices. Handle any complaints in accordance with regulation, the Company's Conduct Policy. Take part in tailored learning, training and assessment courses and identify further areas for own development as required. Achieve and maintain a high level of customer service and promote exceptional customer care standards at all times. Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with all clients and provide expert product advice and guidance Secure additional cross sell revenue opportunities from other classes of insurance not arranged by N&R i.e. HNW Promote and increase the use of in-house premium finance, from insurer schemes.

Our Account Handlers are vital in ensuring that Nowell & Richards clients have a professional and compliant experience. To be successful in the role, you must have the following skills.

Previous experience gained from working in an office / customer service / sales environment A basic understanding and interest in the insurance industry Experience of working to high standards and compliance Strong administration skills, coupled with a very keen eye for detail Ability to prioritise and organise own workload to ensure deadlines are met Numerical accuracy Exemplary communication skills, in person, on the phone and via email Strong time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines IT proficiency with the use of most MS Office products
