Rainbow Bridge Pet Funerals is seeking a compassionate, professional, and reliable Pet Crematorium Attendant to join our small, supportive team.
This is a meaningful role where you will help bereaved pet owners through one of the most emotional times in their lives, ensuring every pet is treated with the utmost dignity and care.
You will be involved in both client-facing and behind-the-scenes responsibilities, combining empathy with organisation to maintain the smooth running of our crematorium and office.

Saturday/Sunday: 08:00 - 20:00
Bank Holidays: 08:00 - 20:00
24 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
Conduct pet cremations with the utmost care, consideration, and respect.
Prepare ashes accurately and sensitively for their return to clients.
Complete allocated tasks thoroughly, ensuring all customer requests are followed precisely.
Maintain accurate and timely records for all tasks and documentation.
Collect deceased pets from their place of passing with dignity and compassion.
Ensure the crematorium and surrounding areas are kept clean, organised, and well-maintained at all times.
Uphold company values in all interactions with colleagues, pet owners, customers, and suppliers, ensuring policies and procedures are consistently followed.
Adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring your own safety and that of others affected by your actions.
Welcome and support clients with empathy and professionalism.
Respond to telephone and email enquiries with care and attention.
Schedule and manage appointments efficiently.
Assist clients in selecting urns, caskets, and other memorial options.
Provide guidance and emotional support to clients throughout the cremation process.
Take paw prints, fur cuttings, and other keepsakes with care and dignity.
Carry out general office and administrative tasks as required.
Perform any other duties appropriate to the role.
Person Specification / Ideal Candidate
Over 25 years of age (insurance requirement).
Kind, patient, and composed in emotionally sensitive situations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Organised, dependable, and able to multitask calmly under pressure.
Comfortable handling pets with care and dignity.
Previous experience in a veterinary practice, funeral care, or customer service role is desirable.
Full UK driving licence required.
Basic computer skills (email, digital records, scheduling).
