Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for patients. You will be responsible for providing expert advice on medication management, patient care, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimise therapeutic outcomes.
Responsibilities
Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Provide comprehensive medication counselling to patients, including information on proper usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
Conduct thorough reviews of patient medication histories to identify potential issues or contraindications.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop and implement effective medication therapy plans.
Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to medication regimens based on clinical assessments.
Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, patient profiles, and inventory management.
Stay updated with the latest developments in pharmacology, therapeutics, and clinical guidelines.
Participate in patient education initiatives and health promotion activities within the community.
Requirements
A valid pharmacy degree from an accredited institution and current registration with the relevant regulatory body.
Strong knowledge of anatomy, pharmacology, and medication administration practices.
Experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting is highly desirable but not essential.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
