Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, extensive knowledge of anatomy, and proficiency in medication administration. The successful applicant will have experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting, enhancing their ability to manage complex medication regimens.

Responsibilities

Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Provide expert advice on the safe use of medications to patients and healthcare professionals. Conduct thorough medication reviews and assessments, particularly for patients in critical care settings. Collaborate with medical staff to optimise patient treatment plans based on individual needs. Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust prescriptions as necessary under the guidance of medical practitioners. Educate patients on medication administration, potential side effects, and interactions with other drugs. Maintain accurate records of all prescriptions and patient interactions in accordance with pharmacy regulations. Stay updated on new medications, therapies, and best practices in pharmacology.

Experience

Proven experience as a Pharmacist, preferably with ICU experience. Strong background in patient care with a focus on improving health outcomes through effective medication management. Comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy and pharmacology principles. Demonstrated ability in medication administration techniques and protocols. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare teams. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of pharmacy practice.
