Overview of the role

We are looking for an experienced Pharmacist to join the team and make a difference at our pharmacy in Merthyr, Valleys.


This community pharmacy is commutable from Cardiff & Newport. It is in a medium size Valleys town with a regular patient base, making it easy to build relationships with the locals. Sister pharmacy less than 100 meters away. Scope to increase service provision and use clinical knowledge. No weekend working. Easy commute due to being close to main roads.

How our pharmacy makes a difference:

It dispenses 1750 items a week It provides a wide range of services including CAS / DMR / Flu / EMS/ EHC/ STTT/ UTI

This pharmacy is open 9-5.30 Mon - Friday.


The branch team is comprised of 1 Team Leader, 4 Pharmacy Assistants (All qualified). Benefit of sharing staff with the pharmacy In Merthyr 12 - 13 (less than 100 metres away). 4 relief Pharmacy assistants that cover the area.


The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate must possess an MPharm degree or equivalent and management experience is desired but not essential. You will be required to have your GPhC registration upon your start date.

You'll be supported in your role by an Area Operations Manager and a Regional Operations Manager, with regular structured pharmacy visits


We have invested in new technologies for our pharmacies including a new PMR system and centralised dispensing to allow you to focus on providing quality care and services to our customers.


We are focussed on mental health and wellbeing which is why we've put all our field managers through the Mental Health Awareness course to raise awareness and enable a greater level of support when working in our pharmacies.
