Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of anatomy, patient care, and medication administration, particularly in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) setting. The Pharmacist will collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes and provide exceptional pharmaceutical care.

Responsibilities



Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Conduct thorough medication reviews to identify potential drug interactions and contraindications. Provide expert advice on medication management to healthcare professionals and patients. Monitor patient progress and adjust medication regimens as necessary based on clinical guidelines. Educate patients on the proper use of medications, including potential side effects and interactions. Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and patient information in accordance with pharmacy regulations. Participate in clinical rounds within the ICU, providing pharmaceutical insights to support patient care decisions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.

Qualifications



A valid registration as a Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, pharmacology, and medication administration practices. Experience in a clinical pharmacy setting, particularly within an ICU environment is highly desirable. Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly to patients and healthcare staff. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work. A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on advancements in pharmacotherapy.

Pay: 48,079.00-55,840.00 per year
