Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the newly refitted Dalkeith Pharmacy to join the dispensary team as an ACT. Applicants should be registered with the GPhC as a Accredited Checking Technician and all applicants should have experience of working in a customer focused environment.

The successful applicant should possess the following skills:

Ensure the smooth running of the dispensary Maintain stock control within the dispensary Ensure accurate handling of medicines Use a PMR system Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills Ability to work as a team member and independently Excellent organisational skills Understand confidentiality Ability to demonstrate self-motivation & initiative Good interpersonal skills Ability to prioritise work load Ability to work to deadlines Be registered with the GPhC Answer phone calls and address inquiries from patients and healthcare providers Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to regulations Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling medications Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure Be able to confidently check prescriptions and work within the guidelines set out by the RP. Be competent in checking dossette boxes Know when to refer to the RP

Experience Required..

You must have an ACT qualification and be registered with the GPhC. All GPhC fees will be paid.

Hours of Work

Wednesday, Thursday Friday 08:30am- 6pm (one hour lunch) -25.5hrs

(days and hours may be negotiable for the right candidate)

Occasional weekends may be required to cover the occasional holiday
