Job Summary

A locally owned family business, we are opening a brand new pharmacy and we are recruiting a detail-oriented and experienced Pharmacy Accuracy Checking Technician to join our pharmacy team. This vital role involves ensuring the precise verification of medication orders, supporting patient safety, and maintaining high standards of pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of medical terminology, and pharmacy procedures, particularly within community pharmacy. Responsibilities

Verify the accuracy of medication orders prior to dispensing, ensuring compliance with physician prescriptions and pharmacy protocols Must be registered with the GPhC Support medication administration processes by confirming correct dosages and patient details Assist with medication intake procedures and patient service activities Maintain accurate documentation of verification processes and inventory records Adhere to infection control standards during all pharmacy tasks Collaborate with pharmacy dispensers, pharmacists, and healthcare providers to optimize patient care delivery

Experience

Prior pharmacy technician experience in Community Pharmacy is highly preferred Must be registered with the GPhC Strong understanding of pharmacy procedures and protocols Experience working with care homes and individual patients Proven ability to perform accurate medication verification in high-volume settings Knowledge of patient service principles and patient care standards and pharmacy services
This is a new role and gives the right person to make it their own! We are flexible on the hours that you work and whilst ideally we are looking for someone to work full time serious consideration will be given to the right candidate should they require part time hours.
