We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accuracy Checking Technician to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists by accuracy checking prescriptions, preparing and dispensing medications, assisting with patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. Duties
Prepare and dispense prescribed medications accurately under the supervision of a pharmacist
Assist patients with medication queries and provide essential information regarding medication usage and storage
Support with medication administration processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and protocols
Maintain accurate records of prescriptions, stock levels, and patient interactions
Organise and manage pharmacy stock, including ordering, receiving, and storing medicines appropriately
Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety standards at all times
Support in patient care activities as directed by healthcare professionals, contributing to overall patient wellbeing
Carry out blood pressure checks, Flu & COVID vaccinations
Experience
Must have ACT certification and experience working as an Accuracy Checking Technician
Proven experience in a busy pharmacy environment.
Strong attention to detail and excellent accuracy in medication checking.
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy operations is advantageous
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Trained in vaccinations
