We are seeking a dedicated and organised Administrative Assistant to support our healthcare team. This role involves providing essential administrative support within a pharmacy or medical setting, ensuring smooth daily operations. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to tasks. Experience in pharmacy or patient care is highly desirable, as the role may involve medication administration and supporting patient interactions. No experience required, all training is provided if patient facing roles become evident
the primary role involves working with the pharmacy owner as a personal assistant involving: office work, admin, paperwork, emails, human resources, invoicing, answering and making calls.
Duties
Manage and maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Assist with medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring compliance with protocols
Support pharmacy technicians with inventory management and stock organisation
Schedule appointments and coordinate patient consultations
Respond to patient enquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and empathy
Prepare and process administrative paperwork related to prescriptions and patient care
Liaise with healthcare professionals to facilitate effective communication and workflow
Ensure the confidentiality and security of sensitive patient information at all times
Skills
Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a healthcare administrative role is highly advantageous
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in using healthcare management software and basic office applications
Ability to work accurately under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
