An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to work within our Pharmacy Team in a large and progressive GP practice serving 39,000 patients.
To provide an accurate, timely and qualitative process for processing prescription requests for patients along with handling all incoming correspondence and queries related to the Pharmacy Team. To ensure duties are carried out within the practice's guidelines and policies.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to members of the Practice team in the following areas ensuring appropriate practice records are kept up to date
To manage all incoming prescription requests.
Thoroughly investigate each medication request and process, following protocols prior to the prescriber issuing the prescription.
Deal with any queries regarding EPS.
Process Klinik submissions, workflow (medicine related clinical correspondence) documents and Pharmacy e-mails.
Raise required blood forms for patients/invite for bp etc where needed and notify accordingly.
Deal with the medication and prescription queries.
Liaise with patients, Community Pharmacies, the wider practice team as well as other outside agencies in a professional and timely manner.
Support the implementation of NHS initiatives.
Drug monitoring and audits.
Be knowledgeable of the current digital systems in use at the practice, NHS pathways and prescription management SOPs, Policies etc
Utilisation PCN Pharmacy Team resource.
Work closely with Reception, Pharmacy Technician and Pharmacist to ensure a robust and efficient Prescription service to patients.
