Pharmacy Assistant

, you'll play a key role in supporting pharmacists, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the pharmacy, and delivering outstanding service to our patients. Whether you're an experienced assistant or just starting your journey in healthcare, we welcome your enthusiasm and willingness to learn.

Required Experience:

- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a UK pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting patients over the counter in a friendly and professional manner

Counselling patients under pharmacist supervision

Managing stock levels and assisting with inventory

Answering phone calls and taking prescription requests

Operating computer systems and pharmacy automation tools confidently.

Accurately dispensing prescriptions and preparing (MDS).

Verifying prescriptions and checking stock availability.

Supporting other pharmacy services and spotting opportunities for growth or improvement.

Managing stock levels and assisting with inventory.

Answering phone calls and taking prescription requests

Helps to prioritise the team's workload and maintaining an awareness of patient needs & those of the wider Pharmacy environment

Helps the Pharmacist to maintain the day to day relationship with GPs, practice managers and receptionists

Education & Skills:

Completion of a Medicine Counter Assistant course or similar

Fluent in English with strong communication skills

Good maths and organisational skills

Ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment

Proactive and reliable work ethic

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From 12.21 per hour
