We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Counter Assistant to join our team in providing essential healthcare services. The role involves processing prescriptions, assisting patients with queries under the guidance of the pharmacist, and managing over-the-counter products at the front of the shop.
Variable Hours may change as shops needs demand - roughly 33 hours
Greeting customers and providing friendly, efficient service
Processing prescriptions and collecting patient details
Assisting patients with queries under the supervision of the pharmacist
Advising on suitable over-the-counter medicines within competence
Managing and merchandising OTC products on the shop floor
Handling transactions, including cash and card payments
Maintaining a clean and organised counter and retail area
Supporting stock control, including checking deliveries and replenishing shelves
Signposting patients to healthcare services when appropriate
Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with pharmacy regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in as pharmacy counter assistant is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills for patient care interactions
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
