Job Description

Allied Pharmacy Northern Moor is looking for a part time delivery driver to deliver medication safely and in a timely manner to the local community.

The role is suited to someone with minimal commitments as a degree of flexibility is required.

Driver must have their own car and be adequately insured.

Hours are Monday/Wednesday/Friday between 2pm-5pm. Hours per shift will vary from 1 - 3hrs depending on workload. Hours could increase as the branch grows.

Driver will be given a timesheet to complete daily and will be paid for the total number of hours worked plus mileage at a rate of 30pence per mile to cover fuel.

Duties:

- Safely and efficiently transport goods to customers' locations

- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries

- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns

- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including proof of delivery

- Maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism

- Leafleting in the local area to advertise pharmacy services

- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving

Skills:

- Delivery driver experience: Previous experience preferred but not essential

- Excellent communication skills: this is a patient facing role and you will be expected to provide a polite and courteous service while building rapport with the customers.

- Strong attention to detail: Ability to accurately follow delivery instructions and maintain records. Due to the nature of the items being delivered, it is crucial that mistakes are not made.

This position requires a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Candidates must have the ability to work independently, be reliable, and have a strong work ethic.
