Cowgate Pharmacy is seeking a hardworking and detail-focused
Pharmacy Dispenser or Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT)
to join our dedicated
VBM robot hub
. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured, accuracy-critical work and wants to contribute to high-quality patient care.
About the Role
Working within a
separate, purpose-designed VBM robot area
- away from the distractions of the main pharmacy and phone - you will help ensure the safe and efficient production of dosette box (MDS) compliance aids. Your responsibilities will include:
Operating the
VBM robotic dispensing system
Preparing dosette box compliance aids accurately and efficiently
Conducting final checks on MDS trays (for ACT-qualified applicants)
Maintaining strict adherence to SOPs and safety standards
Supporting workflow and ensuring timely completion of all trays
Managing stock levels and replenishing robot canisters as required
Assisting the wider dispensary team when needed
What We're Looking For
Pharmacy Dispenser (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent)
- or -
Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT)
with valid accreditation
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work confidently with automated technology
Strong organisational skills and a methodical approach
A positive, team-focused attitude
Experience
Experience with MDS/dosette preparation or VBM/robotic dispensing is desirable,
but
full training will be provided
