We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving and delivery operations. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. The Driver will also be responsible for ensuring the vehicle is well-maintained and ready for use.
Duties
Operate various types of vehicles, including flatbed lorries, for the transportation of goods.
Ensure timely delivery of products to designated locations while maintaining safety standards.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by performing minor repairs or maintenance on the vehicle as needed.
Experience
Proven experience as a Driver, preferably with a background in delivery driving or commercial driving roles.
Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes is advantageous.
Strong communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively.
Mechanical knowledge to assist with basic vehicle maintenance tasks is desirable.
