About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced
Pharmacy Manager
to lead our friendly independent pharmacy team in the heart of Herefordshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated pharmacist who thrives in a community setting and enjoys making a real difference to patients' lives.
As Pharmacy Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality services. You'll work closely with the local community, delivering exceptional patient care while helping to grow and develop the pharmacy's services.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring compliance with GPhC and NHS regulations.
Deliver excellent patient care and professional advice to the local community.
Lead, support, and develop a small, close-knit team of dispensers and medicines counter assistants.
Ensure accurate dispensing and checking of prescriptions.
Manage stock levels, ordering, and cost control efficiently.
Promote and deliver clinical and public health services (e.g., flu vaccinations, NMS, BP checks).
Build and maintain strong relationships with local GPs, care homes, and other healthcare professionals.
Drive business performance and identify opportunities to enhance community services.
About You
Qualified Pharmacist
with current registration with the
General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
.
Previous experience in a community pharmacy setting, ideally in a managerial or supervisory role.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proactive and community-focused, with a genuine passion for patient wellbeing.
Organised, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
