Goldchem Pharmacy is a well-established, independent pharmacy in Portsmouth that provides a wide range of healthcare services to the local community including medicines, services, and vaccinations. We are looking for an

experienced shop floor assistant

at our busy independent pharmacy in Southsea, ideally with experience in a busy pharmacy or other healthcare setting. Customer service experience essential as is a confident, friendly approach to customers and colleagues. We are seeking quick learners and adaptable team players. Good IT skills (email, Word, etc.) and accurate data entry required.

Your role will include:

Speaking with customers (in person or on the phone) and answering queries as a first point of contact Providing basic advice, as appropriate, and referring to the pharmacist when needed Ensuring that the pharmacy is a welcoming and clean environment for all customers Assisting with transactions of medical and non-medical products Receiving prescriptions from patients and provision of dispensed medications to customers Assisting with stock control, ordering, and pricing for the shop. Assisting with management of day-to-day operations in the pharmacy, including providing basic clinical services (training provided, if needed) Assisting in the vaccination clinic with chaperoning and data entry (when necessary)
All shop staff will also have the opportunity to complete training courses (Medicines Counter Assistant, Shop Floor Assistant training) with the option for career and pay progression over time.

Pay: From 12.25 per hour
