We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, supporting patient care, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations. Duties
Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
Assist pharmacists in preparing and organising medication orders
Provide guidance to patients on medication usage, storage, and potential side effects
Support medication administration processes where applicable, ensuring safety standards are maintained
Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and patient interactions
Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety regulations
Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reordering supplies as needed
Engage with patients courteously, offering excellent customer service and support
Experience
Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role within a healthcare setting is preferred
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing medications
Experience working with pharmacy management systems and electronic health records is desirable
Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients and colleagues
