Summary



We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Trent Meadows Medical Practice. In this role, you will be essential in supporting our pharmacy operations and ensuring that patients receive the medications they need safely and effectively. This is a 3 month contract which will close on 10th October 2025

Key Responsibilities:



Support medicines reconciliation and verification to ensure accurate patient medication records. Assist with clinical medication reviews and Structured Medication Reviews (SMRs). Manage repeat prescription authorisation processes. Maintain and update patient medication records and databases. Provide medicines-related information and support to patients and healthcare staff. Assist in audits, quality improvement, and service development initiatives. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support medicines management. Ensure compliance with legal, professional, and organisational policies related to medicines. Provide administrative support to pharmacy services, including referral management and appointment coordination. Provide excellent patient care by answering queries and offering medication advice.

Essential Requirements:



Accredited Pharmacy Technician qualification (NVQ Level 3 or equivalent). Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). Experience in a non-dispensing clinical or primary care pharmacy setting preferred. Completed or is willing to complete the CPPE course Strong knowledge of medicines management and clinical pharmacy processes. Proficient in IT and pharmacy systems (e.g., EMIS, Docman). Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.

Desirable:



Experience supporting long-term condition management or clinical services. Understanding of primary care pharmacy initiatives and targets. Commitment to ongoing professional development.
