Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
We are recruiting a Full Time qualified Dispenser for our pharmacy in Edinburgh.
You will work in our pharmacy team, supporting the responsible pharmacist, and delivering excellent care to our patients.
Your role will involve Taking prescriptions from customers, checking orders off from our suppliers, dispensing prescriptions and preparing weekly compliance devices, methadone dispensing & supervision, participation in the needle exchange service, ordering items, counter prescribing, checking stock eg. bags, cartons, bottles and ordering where necessary, cashing up, stock rotation, answering the phone and dealing with different local surgeries, assisting the responsible pharmacist in whatever way necessary.
The role involves working predominantly in the dispensary, however will be required for counter work also.
There is potential in this role to offer private services too which will enable personal development. We believe that this will broaden the role as a Technician in our team.
You will need to have:
An NVQ2 (or equivalent)
A Medicines healthcare Assistant Qualification is preferred also
The drive and ability to build relationship with colleagues, patients and other healthcare professionals.
Great communication skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 14.00-15.00 per hour
