Job Description

Maintain professional and courteous working relationships with staff and respect the equality and diversity of each and every person they come into contact within the course of their business. Responsible for the training and supervision of Pharmacy Technicians, Pre-Registration Trainee Technicians and Pharmacy Support Workers, ensuring all staff in the service area are kept up to date and informed of any changes in working practice. Support the line management of a team and be responsible for attendance management, annual leave planning, 1-1s and appraisals. Deputise for the Specialist Technicians (Band 6) in their absence.

To deputise for the Specialist Pharmacy Technician in their absence Preparative Services Involved in the Aseptic Dispensing Service preparing a range of aseptically dispensed medicines to patients in the trust. Participation in accuracy checking of prepared medicines. Ensure all aseptically prepared products released to wards are distributed in a safe and secure manner following all relevant SOPs.



Prioritise workload and analyse situations to resolve problems. Organise the workflow within aseptic services.
