We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, including counting, labeling, and packaging prescriptions accurately.
Assist pharmacists with the administration and preparation of monitored dose containers.
Liaise with external healthcare providers to ensure patient care.
Support medication intake processes by verifying patient information and processing prescription orders efficiently.
Maintain meticulous records of medication dispensing, inventory management, and patient interactions in compliance with regulatory standards.
Provide exceptional patient service by answering questions, clarifying medication instructions, and supporting overall patient care initiatives.
Participate in technician lead services including vaccinations.
Requirements
Proven pharmacy technician experience with a strong understanding of day to day community pharmacy and its contractual obligations.
Experience of providing pharmacy services under the "Pharmacy First" service.
Experience with medication administration processes within the monitored dose system
Demonstrated ability to give outstanding patient care.
Strong communication skills focused on patient service and collaborative teamwork.
Solution driven to resolve patient queries to a positive outcome.
Hold a GPHC recognised qualification as a pharmacy technician or equivalent.
