We're looking for a Pharmacy Technician Manager to join our Pharmacy team at The Wellington Hospital currently rated "Good" by the CQC. The Wellington covers a number of specialist units including ICU Gynaecology CCU/HDU, Cardiac Treatment and digestive Health. Joining this team can give you experience and exposure to these different areas and experts within these fields.


The successful postholder will manage the central dispensary facility which supports multiple sites across the Wellington Hospital (North, South and Platinum Medical Centre sites) and affiliated services at Golder's Green and Elstree Outpatient Centres. The postholder will be line managing and working with a team of 10 Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants to ensure all aspects of the core operations are delivered, including dispensary, purchasing, stock control and medicines distribution.


As a key member of the Pharmacy Leadership Team the postholder will be responsible for inventory management across the Wellington sites and will work closely with other HCA wide Lead Technicians, procurement, and wider teams to ensure appropriate stock levels and that revenue targets are achieved. You will also be a key stakeholder for relevant Quality Improvement Project(s) and you will be integral in providing training, education and mentorship to Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Assistants.

What you'll bring:



NVQ Level 3 or BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or an equivalent pharmacy technician qualification Accredited Checker (ACPT) GPhC Registration Substantial hospital pharmacy experience (+5 years) Significant experience of managing and leading a team Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong initiative and commitment, with a 'can do' attitude to work Good organisation, leadership and problem-solving skills.
