An exciting opportunity has arisen as we expand our Primary Care Network (PCN) Pharmacy Team to include another Pharmacy Technician to join our current team of 4 techs and 5 pharmacists working across four GP practices in Poole North.
As a qualified Pharmacy Technician you will contribute to delivery of the PCN's medicines optimisation priorities, including QOF, CCLIP, CVD prevention and local prescribing quality and financial initiatives. The role will also focus on supporting safe and efficient repeat prescribing processes, undertaking medicines reconciliation, assisting with high-risk drug monitoring processes (e.g. DOAC monitoring workflows) and assist patients and colleagues with medicines queries. This may involve face to face contact, via telephone support or task- based workflow support.
Primary care clinical pharmacy is developing, and we are looking for a motivated individual who is flexible to respond to the developing nature of the role and the needs and priorities of individuals requiring support. Under the direction of the clinical pharmacists we expect that you will be able to work independently and manage your own workload. You will need excellent communication skills to be able to liaise with patients, primary care staff, community pharmacists and other partners.
There will be an expectation to undertake the PCPEP course if you haven't done so already and the salary will be reviewed both at the end of the probation period and at the successful passing of the course.
Additionally the role will help support the Lead Pharmacist in her role.
For informal visits to our team or any further information please do get in contact but we look forward to hearing from you.
