Help to maintain accurate patient medication records and documentation. Participate in stock management processes, including ordering, storing, and safe handling of medicines. Provide general administrative support for the pharmacy team, including filing, data entry, and communication with patients, practices and community pharmacies as appropriate. Communicate with patients, carers, and colleagues in a polite, professional, and supportive manner.
To support the implementation of national prescribing policies and guidance within GP practices, care homes and other primary care settings. Undertaking clinical audits (e.g., use of antibiotics), supporting quality improvement measures and contributing to the Quality and Outcomes Framework and enhanced services. Delivery of medicines optimisation incentive schemes (e.g., medicines switches) and patient safety audits.
