We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team at HMP Five Wells, a

category

C

Prison located in

Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.




The prison has its own pharmacy on site with 7 wings, each with a medical admin.





Our Pharmacy team is currently made up of:




1 Pharmacy Manager


3 Pharmacists


2 Senior Pharmacy Technicians


4 Pharmacy Technicians


4 Pharmacy assistants

07:00-20.15
20:00-07:15

Shift pattern currently is:





Week1 -Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday



Week2- Wednesday, Thursday and Friday



View to work 1 in 4 weekends soon.



This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to 41,659 per annum - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing





As a Pharmacy Technician, your responsibilities will vary. You will


You will assist with the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service, taking into consideration, at all times, the need to maintain a high level of security. You will be required to work within the healthcare department and hold direct patient contact, which will be part be of a comprehensive healthcare package, based on the prison service's needs. promote safe patient care develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

Hold NVQ Level 3, BTEC, or equivalent qualifications and have current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council. Relevant post-qualification experience working within a pharmacy environment and multi-disciplinary team. Ability to work within a busy environment Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment.
