We are seeking 2 skilled and compassionate Phlebotomists to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing blood draws and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety. This role is essential in providing accurate specimen collection for laboratory analysis, contributing to effective patient diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities
Perform venepuncture and capillary blood collection on patients of all ages.
Ensure proper identification of patients and specimens to maintain accuracy in laboratory testing.
Utilise aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during blood collection procedures.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Document all procedures accurately in accordance with hospital protocols.
Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure timely processing of specimens.
Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures to patients and addressing any concerns they may have.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and knowledge:
Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to phlebotomy and laboratory procedures.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to phlebotomize effectively while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
