Job Description
Job responsibilities include:
Obtaining consent prior to blood collection Performing venepuncture in accordance with infection control practices and practice protocols Correctly label, package and store samples and complete patient records on the clinical IT system Ensure timely transportation of samples to the laboratory Work collaboratively with the nursing team, seeking guidance where necessary for patient- related matters Support local initiatives to improve service delivery and patient care Participate in shared learning activities within the practice Follow confidentiality, equality, diversity and inclusion policies Adhere to to GDPR, confidentiality and health and safety policies and other practice protocols Work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team
